Knitting and Needlepoint

Some years before the CVD situation wreaked havoc on normal face-to-face human relationships, a group of us who frequented our local Starbucks in Jackson Heights, Queens, NYC became close. One of our crew, Tom Hall, was a retired Catholic priest. Like Rosey Grier, Tom was an avid needleworker. He had a habit of making and giving handmade afghan blankets to all kinds of people, and in so doing, touched people all over the world. His example inspired me to learn to knit. A dozen years later knitting has become a beloved constant in my life. Thank you, Tom.
