While knitting is my main love in terms of crafting, this winter I decided a new challenge was needed. Here’s a first effort at a counted canvas sampler. It’s based on the Twinkling Gems pattern by DebBee’s Designs. The colors, arrangement, and border have all been customized by me.
Counted canvas needlepoint uses a blank canvas. It differs from the more common hand-painted canvases sold at most needlework stores. To work the pattern, one counts the threads to determine where to start and end the stitch. It appeals to the intense mind!
